What is Powder Coating?

Powder coating is the application of a dry, powdered coating on the surface of your parts. The powder coatings come in a wide variety of colors and textures. The powder is applied by a spray. The parts are given an electrostatic charge and the powder is given the opposite electrostatic charge. When the dry powder is sprayed, it clings to every nook and cranny of the part. The part is heated in our oven and the powder ‘melts’ over the part to form a hard, protective, coating.

At Powder Coatings Unlimited we can accommodate small and large size parts. We've done parts as small as washers and as large as car frames in our 10 x 10 x 28 oven.

At Powder Coatings Unlimited, parts are stripped in our pyrolytic oven or sand blasted, given a phosphate coating in a bath process, powder coated in our spay booth, then heated in an oven to seal the part in a powder coating color of your choice.
